My Life History (the short):
I was born in a small library-less paper mill town in Quebec, last daughter of an immigrant family who left Europe after the second world war to begin new lives in a new country. For as long as I can remember, I too have been attempting to create new worlds (or escape old ones)--from doll families to scientific models to stage roles to fiction writing to leaping between cities in Canada, England, Germany, and Switzerland.

My Life in Writing Goals:
I love to share ideas with others, especially when it calls for beautiful language, deep thought, or laughter. These days, in the shadow of a pandemic and environmental catastrophes, I often find myself seeking--as well as trying to offer--a little encouragement to keep believing that books can change people’s thoughts and feelings and improve our brief lives on this vulnerable planet.
My Life via Writing Themes:
Love, motherhood, sisterhood
Family dynamics and psychological disorders
Sexism
Time, chance, and loss
Reality and delusion
I'm fascinated by how our identities are shaped by our delusions and the desires racing about in our panicky, warped hearts.
